Heather Hawthorn Doyle was a director, producer and show creator in lifestyle and factual entertainment - before she found her passion as a director in narrative episodic tv and film. Heather has a passion for strong storytelling and a reputation for collaborative sets.
Heather's television directing work includes episodes of "Endlings" (Hulu/CBC), "Odd Squad" (PBS/TVO) and "Dino Dana" (Amazon/TVO) as well as a series of YouTube shorts for Disney Interactive around their "Gabby Duran & the Unisttables" series. She's also directed TV movies for Hallmark, Lifetime and other international broadcasters.
Heather is also a very experienced multi-camera director who excelled in music series and specials and her first narrative series the multi-camera teen sitcom "Some Assembly Required" (Netflix/YTV).
As well Heather has directed multiple seasons on hit series in documentary, talk, variety and factual genres including "Love It or List It Vancouver" (HGTV), "Bachelorette Canada" (CITY TV), and HHDTV's own "Beer Money" (Sportsnet).
Heather is a CSA nominated director and a Leo Award winning director for her "Raising the Bar" episode of "Odd Squad". She's also a DGC member and is represented by Carmen Bonnici of Pacific Artists Management carmen@pacificartists.com
